About Washington Court Docket

Washington court information is held at several levels. Washington Courts Case Search can locate cases across participating courts, while each court and clerk remains responsible for its own official file and docket. County Clerks keep Superior Court records; District and Municipal Court clerks maintain their courts' limited-jurisdiction records. Finding the right source can take more than one search. This independent reference brings the statewide index, court structure, and county-level routes together so readers can identify where a Washington case was filed and which court holds its full record.

Why We Built This Site

Washington's statewide Case Search brings together basic case information from several court levels, but the search result is not the official case file. Superior Court files and registers are maintained by the County Clerk, while District and Municipal Court clerks keep those courts' own records. A docket is the running history of a case, including filed papers, hearings, and other events. A statewide index can help identify the court and case; the complete register, filed documents, and certified copies must come from the court that holds them. Washington has 39 county court systems, so the local route depends on where the case was filed. The county directory connects readers to those local court resources.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately operated reference site, separate from Washington's courts, County Clerks, and state agencies. Its role is limited. It cannot:

  • Provide legal advice or interpret how a ruling or deadline affects an individual case
  • Issue certified copies of court files, orders, or docket sheets
  • Change, continue, or reset a hearing or court date
  • Retrieve an official docket sheet or case file on a reader's behalf
  • Remove, seal, or amend an entry in a court record
  • Promise that each listed setting, fee, telephone number, or procedure remains current

Only the court that holds a case or its clerk can provide an official or certified record. The local office, rather than this reference, must supply the document.

Search Partners

Some search boxes on these pages are operated by outside providers. Those providers control their products, results, and prices. If a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid service, a referral fee may be paid to us; that income helps support free access to this reference. The provider, not this site, sets any charge and determines what its search returns.
